With the PVD Assessments now fully established and honed to be practical and fit for purpose, the time has come to set up assessment centres covering the UK.
These are by invitation only and will always be relatively few in number – covering regions rather than counties.
Each centre will be provided with various items to ensure they provide the smart and professional experience for the candidates – this includes internal and external signage (internal is backlit A2 sized), branded clipboards and stationary, and various garments for the assessors to wear in all weathers. Assessors will also need to attend an orientation and training day – not to learn how to detail cars, but to learn how to assess and guide other people, while using the marking guidance required for the PVD Assessment.
Our first orientation day is Thursday 16th December 2021 at UK Detailing Academy in Gloucestershire.
Both the Assessment Centre training and equipment are subsidised by PVD, who are covering approximately half the cost. However, we do ask each centre to commit a relatively small investment to help cover some of these costs. We hope the income from holding assessments and potential reputational benefits will quickly outweigh the initial time and cost to set up.
