New for 2020 – PVD Pre-Work Triplicate form books
These have been designed exclusively for PVD members to use with clients. The forms offer both you and your clients protection against illegitimate damage claims while also helping to improve professionalism.
On greeting the client, you can complete the walk around inspection, marking any pre-existing damage.
You can then list the service name and description, along with time and cost estimates.
The customer then ticks four important boxes to confirm:
That they have removed their personal items, including child seats, that they are happy for you to photograph the car, and that they accept any pre-existing damage and the proposed services to be carried out on the car. By signing at the bottom they are confirming this, and they get to keep the first copy for their own records.
Once the work has been completed, you can walk them around the vehicle to make sure they are happy with the quality of work and that no damage has been done, you can also put any aftercare guidance in writing (for example not washing a coated car for X days), and get their signature. You can then give them the second copy, and retain the top sheet for your records. We have had holes punched already so they can go straight into a binder.
The booklets come with a cover and fold out guard sheet so only one form gets marked at a time. There is no messy carbon sheet.
